NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police are investigating an alleged attempted suicide involving a 19-year-old female that occurred on Friday, August 7th, 2026, in the Carmichael Road area near Golden Isles Road.
According to the initial report, shortly before 10:30 a.m., police received a report from a male who stated that he had ended a relationship with his girlfriend following an argument.
It is alleged that, following the dispute, the female ingested a quantity of prescription medication and subsequently became unconscious.
Officers from the Carmichael Road Police Station responded to the scene, where they were met by Emergency Medical Services personnel.
The female was assessed by medical personnel and regained consciousness.
She was subsequently transported to hospital for further medical attention and evaluation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
