NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred in the Winton Meadows area on Friday, August 7th, 2026.
According to the initial report, shortly after 12:00 p.m., the complainant reported to officers at the Elizabeth Estates Police Station that, while at the front of his residence, he was approached by two males.
One of the men allegedly produced a firearm and demanded cash and jewellery.
The suspects were unsuccessful in obtaining any of the complainant’s property.
However, the complainant was reportedly struck in the face and about the body, resulting in a laceration.
The complainant was advised to seek medical attention.
The investigation continues.
