PM tells press: “BE RESPONSIBLE”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Prime Minister Davis admonished the local press to “be responsible” in its reporting of the crime situation in The Bahamas, citing undisclosed evidence that local coverage has impacted international perception.

Davis made the remarks after being pressed by reporters over the Progressive Liberal Party’s decision to place crime statistics on billboards across New Providence while in Opposition.

Davis told reporters that’s “in the past,” and he is looking forward.
