NASSAU, BAHAMAS: An evening drive along Eastern Road turned into a terrifying ordeal when two armed men allegedly hijacked a woman’s SUV after confronting her and a male companion at gunpoint Thursday night.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 9:00 p.m., the complainant was driving her white Nissan Juke, registration number DF1535, along Eastern Road with a male companion. After stopping to allow the man to relieve himself, they were approached by two men dressed in dark clothing and armed with firearms.
The suspects demanded the vehicle, and the complainant complied. The men then entered the Nissan Juke and drove west along Eastern Road. Police said the stolen vehicle was reportedly being followed by a blue Japanese-model vehicle.
Investigations into the armed robbery are ongoing.
