FxPro invests a further $12M in a new regional headquarters in The Bahamas

FxPro cements its business commitment to The Bahamas

Innovative office building will also house a new digital bank, BankPro

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Globally renowned financial services holding company FxPro Group Limited yesterday announced that it has broken ground for a new $12+ million-dollar office building at Lyford Cay.

The ceremonial groundbreaking will be performed by John Rolle, governor of the Central Bank of The Bahamas, and Christina Rolle, executive director of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, along with Nick Wright of FxPro Global Markets and Andrew Pike, BankPro Bahamas.

FxPro Group is a leading financial services company licensed in The Bahamas, the UK and the EU.

Wright explained: “Having been established in the EU for some years, we initially applied to the Securities Commission back in 2016 and were the first online CFD broker to be granted a license here the following year. Since then, many other brokers have followed.

“We believe The Bahamas to be a well-regulated jurisdiction and ideal for a broker like us, where the majority of our clients are non-European.

“Opening an online bank was always a group ambition, and we have been working closely with the Central Bank of The Bahamas, which has now granted us a license in order to achieve this.

“We expect an official launch date in early November.

“The unique selling point of BankPro is that it is entirely digital. Customers will open an online account and conduct all their transactions using their smart devices. A key advantage for BankPro is that we offer standard banking services alongside trading and digital investing on thousands of stocks.

“We have now purchased a double commercial lot on West Bay Street and have the approval to build a 16,000 square foot office building for the sole use of the FxPro Group of companies, which will include office space and associated staff and meeting areas.

“The design has been completed by N & M architects of Sandyport, Nassau, and the main contractors are the Mosko Group and the Bahamas Environmental Group. This project will create numerous job opportunities for Bahamians in both construction and business operations.

“This investment in new construction for FxPro Group Limited and our latest addition BankPro underlines our commitment to The Bahamas.”
