The companies will officially unveil the facility during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 15, marking what executives describe as a significant step in strengthening logistics and supply chain services in the Northern Bahamas.
Executives from DHL’s corporate leadership team and FOWLCO President Glennett Fowler are expected to attend the event, which will also include a networking reception following formal remarks.
The partnership combines DHL’s international logistics network with FOWLCO’s maritime and project services operations across The Bahamas, including brokerage, freight forwarding, warehousing, trucking, vessel clearance and project logistics services.
FOWLCO, headquartered in Freeport, provides international and domestic maritime and logistics solutions, including drydock support, cargo handling and complex project management services.
Company officials said the relocation to the FOWLCO complex reflects growing regional and global supply chain demands and reinforces Freeport’s role as a logistics gateway and Caribbean transshipment hub due to its proximity to North American markets.
“This partnership reflects a shared vision for operational excellence and long-term growth,” said Terryck Torres. “By bringing DHL’s global logistics capabilities into our Freeport operations, we are strengthening the standard of logistics services available in Grand Bahama and reinforcing the island’s position as a regional logistics powerhouse.”
Officials from both companies are expected to highlight future opportunities for growth and development in the Freeport market during the grand opening ceremony.
