NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police have launched an investigation into an alleged attempted kidnapping after a 54-year-old woman reported that a man tried to force her into a vehicle while she was walking along Prince Charles Drive.
According to the initial police report, the incident happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Police said the woman was walking east along Prince Charles Drive when she was approached by a man driving a blue Suzuki Swift.
The suspect allegedly exited the vehicle, grabbed the woman by the hand and attempted to pull her inside.
However, police said the woman was able to break free from the suspect and immediately reported the matter.
She was not injured during the encounter.
The investigation is continuing as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the suspect.
