NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Team Bahamas is making history at the CAC Youth Chess Festival in El Salvador, running from August 1 to 8, 2024. Representing the largest delegation ever sent by the Bahamas Chess Federation to an international youth chess festival, the team of nine talented students is showcasing their skills on the global stage.
The CAC Youth Chess Festival, which brings together young chess players from 42 Central American and Caribbean nations, fosters both competitive spirit and cultural exchange. This event offers a notable opportunity for The Bahamas’ burgeoning chess talent to compete at a high level and gain invaluable international experience. The team comprises a mix of experienced and rising stars, each selected based on their outstanding performances in this year’s Chess Scholastic Tournament across various age groups.
