Police recover stolen vehicles, two men arrested

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police recovered two stolen vehicles, in separate incidents in New Providence, one of which led to the apprehension of two adult males.

In the first incident, officers recovered a black Ford Explorer on Harmony Hill Road off Village Road on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, police said.

The vehicle was reported stolen on June 7, 2024, investigators revealed.

In the final incident, around 2:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, police were alerted that a burgundy Nissan Cube L/P #AM6364 was stolen from Sandilands Village Road off Fox Hill Road.

Nearby responding and patrolling units noticed the stolen vehicle, followed by a second vehicle traveling at a high rate, and attempted to intercept them, authorities said.

Police pursued the two vehicles and the chase ended on Robinson Road where officers recovered the stolen vehicle and arrested the 34-year-old male, the driver of the stolen vehicle, and a 35-year-old male, the driver of the second vehicle, police said.

Investigations are ongoing into this matter.
