Police on the island of Abaco are investigating the death of a four-year-old girl. Follow Eyewitness News for the latest updates on this developing story.

Police say that initial reports revealed that shortly after 7 am Saturday they received information that a female toddler, while at a gated community situated in South Abaco, wandered off from her mother and, moments later, was found on the beach unconscious. The victim was retrieved from the water by individuals in the vicinity, after which Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was administered.
She was promptly transported to the local clinic, where she was examined by the medical doctor, who determined that she showed no vital signs of life and declared her dead. Investigations are ongoing into this incident.
