Police investigate fatal shooting on Constitution Drive, Chippingham

NASSAU, BAHMAAS: Police have launched an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Constitution Drive, Chippingham, on Sunday, June 7, 2026, which resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man and left two other men, ages 25 and 33, hospitalized.

According to preliminary reports, shortly before 1:45 p.m., police received information that a man had been shot on Constitution Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene and, upon arrival, discovered an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot injuries to the body. Emergency Medical Services personnel responded, examined the victim, and confirmed that he showed no vital signs of life.

The initial investigation indicates that the deceased and the two other men were under a makeshift garage adjacent to a residence when two masked men armed with high-powered weapons approached the entrance gate and opened fire, discharging multiple shots in their direction. One man was fatally wounded, while the other two sustained injuries. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The injured men were transported to hospital by private vehicle. Investigators later visited the hospital and interviewed both victims, who stated that they were performing mechanical work on a motorcycle when the shooting occurred. One victim sustained an injury to his right leg, while the other was injured in his left leg. Their current conditions are unknown.

The investigation continues.
