NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery in Bamboo Town after a motorcyclist was forced off the roadway by occupants of a silver Dodge van and threatened with a firearm.
According to a preliminary report, shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 10th August 2026, the victim was travelling along Antonio Drive on a black electric motorcycle when the occupants of the van pulled alongside him, forcing him off the roadway.
A dark, slim male wearing a long-sleeved striped shirt and blue jeans exited the passenger side of the vehicle. The man allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim and questioned him about his motorcycle and money.
The suspect also allegedly threatened to abduct the victim.
Fearing for his safety, the victim fled the area, leaving his electric motorcycle behind, and proceeded to the East Street South Police Station, where he reported the matter.
The investigation continues.
