Man arrested in drug confiscation

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police in Grand Bahama arrested a 32-year-old male on Saturday 10th August, 2024, following the confiscation of suspected dangerous drugs shortly after 5:00 p.m.
According to initial reports, officers were conducting mobile patrols when they performed a routine stop-and-search of a vehicle on Newton Crest. During the search, they found a quantity of suspected marijuana in the vehicle, which led to the arrest of the lone occupant.
The suspected marijuana’s weight and street value are unknown at this time.
Investigations into this incident are ongoing.
