Fox Hill murder investigation launched after gunmen chase and fatally shoot 36-year-old man

NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man after gunmen allegedly pursued him through the streets of Fox Hill, repeatedly opening fire before escaping in a silver Nissan Cube on Sunday evening.
Police have launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday, 12th July 2026, in the area of Armbrister Street, Fox Hill, which claimed the life of a 36-year-old man.
According to the preliminary report, shortly after 7:00 p.m., police were alerted by ShotSpotter technology to gunfire detected in the area of Davis and Armbrister Streets. Officers from the Fox Hill Division responded promptly and discovered a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body.
The victim was transported by private vehicle to the hospital for medical treatment. However, despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The initial investigation indicates that the victim was seated in a yard with several other individuals near an unpainted residence when a silver Nissan Cube travelling south along Armbrister Street stopped nearby. Two men exited the vehicle, walked north toward the victim, and opened fire in his direction.
The victim attempted to escape by running along Davis Street as the suspects pursued him, continuing to discharge their firearms. He ultimately collapsed on Armbrister Street. The suspects then returned to the Nissan Cube and fled north along Armbrister Street before turning onto Romer Street, making good their escape.
The investigation into this matter continues.
