Police searching for suspect
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police on New Providence are searching for the man responsible for a shooting incident which occurred on New Year’s Day and left one man dead.
According to police reports, shortly after 11:00 a.m., a man, while walking with other persons on Market Street in the vicinity of C.R. Walker Senior School, when he was approached by a male armed with a firearm, who shot him before running away.
Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the injured man to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist in identifying and locating the man responsible for this shooting incident, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
