NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Acting Press Secretary in The Office of Prime Minister Keishla Adderley is insisting that the government is not attempting to censor or silence the media on crime. Her comments come after Prime Minister Philip Davis received significant backlash for his claim that Bahamian media should be more responsible when reporting on crime.

Adderley pushes that the government’s main concern is addressing the crime rate in the country.
