NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) employee who was fatally electrocuted while carrying out maintenance work in Grand Cay, Abaco.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, the employee was working on a high-voltage utility pole when he was reportedly electrocuted.
He was rushed to the Grand Cay Clinic, where medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures. Despite their efforts, he died shortly before 10 p.m.
The fatal workplace accident remains under active police investigation.
