NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man who was reportedly chased and gunned down after an armed man approached the vehicle he was sitting in on Fire Trail Road East Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, shortly before 10:00 p.m., police received a report of a man who had been shot and was unresponsive in the vicinity of a business establishment. Officers from the Southwestern Division responded and found the victim lying on the western side of the establishment, at the rear of a gold Nissan Tiida.
The victim, who was reportedly dressed in a white shirt and jeans, sustained multiple gunshot injuries to the upper body. Emergency Medical Services personnel attended the scene and examined the victim, confirming that he showed no vital signs of life.
Initial information suggests that the victim was seated in the driver’s seat of the Nissan Tiida, with another man seated in the front passenger seat, when an armed man wearing a black hoodie approached the vehicle.
The victim reportedly exited the vehicle and attempted to flee westward. The suspect then discharged a firearm in his direction, fatally wounding him.
The suspect subsequently entered a white vehicle and fled the area in an unknown direction.
The investigation remains ongoing.
