NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Police have launched an investigation into a traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday, 30th June 2026, along Coral Harbour Road in the vicinity of Odyssey Airport, which claimed the life of a 23year-old man. According to preliminary reports, shortly before 7:00 a.m., police were alerted to the collision. Officers from the Western Division responded to the scene, where they found two vehicles involved: a black 2016 Kia Sorento driven by a 53-year-old woman and a blue Suzuki Swift with an unresponsive male driver inside. Emergency Medical Services personnel also responded to the scene, examined the driver of the Suzuki Swift, and confirmed that he showed no vital signs of life. The initial investigation indicates that the Kia Sorento was travelling north along Coral Harbour Road while a Suzuki Swift was southbound when a collision occurred. The driver of the Suzuki Swift succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the Kia Sorento was transported to hospital for medical treatment. Her condition is unknown at this time.
