‘WHERE IS THE SHELTER?’: Seymour wants more urgency on domestic violence shelter

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Opposition Senator Maxine Seymour criticized the government for not yet starting construction on the proposed shelter for victims and survivors of domestic violence.

As Shadow Minister for Social Services, Seymour said she is greatly disappointed that the government-promised shelter does not appear to be a priority; she contended that more women would suffer at the hands of their abusers every day without it.
