NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Transport and Local Government issued a statement on Sunday to advise the public that the Hon. Renward Wells will be out of the country as of June 30th – July 16, as he will travel to Tel Aviv, Israel, and London, England.
The ministry said during the first leg of the itinerary, in Israel, the Minister is scheduled to meet with the Israeli government for support for The Bahamas’ continued presence on the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Group ‘C’ Council. He will also attend the global conference on Maritime and National Development.
The second part of his trip will be to London, where he will attend meetings as Head of Delegation for the IMO’s re-election 2020 campaign. He will also attend the Independence celebrations in honor of the 46th anniversary of Independence of The Bahamas in London on 10th July.
Additionally, he will act as Minister of Foreign Affairs while attending the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs meetings.
