NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Anti-Gang & Firearms Investigation Task Force Unit confiscated two (2) firearms and ammunition on Friday August 23, 2024, which resulted in the arrest of three (3) individuals.
This collaborative initiative was initiated by officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, the Bahamas Department of Customs, the Department of Immigration, and the U.S.A. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Bureau.
According to preliminary reports, around 2:30 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at a
residence on Alocasia Avenue in Garden Hills.
During the search, they discovered an unlicensed
firearm, a high-powered weapon, and a quantity of ammunition in the home, resulting in the arrest of three (3) occupants: two males aged 21 and 22, and a 20-year-old female.
Investigations continue into this matter.
