Police investigate recent armed robberies

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in New Providence are actively searching for the men responsible for number of armed robberies which occurred over the weekend.

In the first incident, according to police reports, shortly after 11:00p.m. on Friday, December, 21, a female pulled up to a residence on Sandilands Village Road when she was approached by a male armed with a firearm who robbed her of her handbag which contained cash and other items before running away.

In the second incident, according to reports, shortly after 11:00p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, a female pulled up to a residence on Rum Close, when she was approached by an armed man who robbed her of her handbag which contained cash and other items before running away.

In the third incident, according to reports, shortly after 3:00a.m. on Saturday, December 22, a male was in the area of Fort Charlotte when he was approached by a group of men, one armed with a sharp object, who robbed him of cash, cell phone and jewelry before getting into a black Acura car and speeding away.
