An early morning traffic accident on the island of Eleuthera has claimed the life of a man. Road traffic investigators from the capital are on the island investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police reported that around 6 o’clock Friday morning, a man was walking on Queen’s Highway, when he was hit by a green Volvo vehicle, which was being driven by a man.
The victim, police said, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said the driver remained on the scene and is presently assisting with the investigation.
