NASSAU, BAHAMAS — On a rainy, cool Saturday morning over the weekend, members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Entry 46 and Woman Entry 16 joined forces to feed the Bain and Grants Town Community.
Past and current members came together near the Grants Town Corps center on January 16, 2021, to “be a blessing” to members of the public.
Breakfast comprising of yellow grits, steamed sausage, steamed corned beef and tuna salad, along with a choice of juice or bottled water, were distributed to pedestrians and individuals in vehicles. Community residents expressed gratitude and gratefulness for the kind gesture, which meant a lot during the recent pandemic.

Leading Woman Marine Opal Farquharson noted: “Sometimes in life we take for granted the bread in our fridge and water on the cooler. What we deem as simple, may be a challenge for someone else.
“In serving 200 plates today, this venture is something we enjoyed doing and it is always a good thing to be a blessing to someone else.”
The combined squad observed 12 years as a unit yesterday, January 19, 2021, noting that together, they have made significant contributions to the organization.
