Nassau & Paradise Island Promotion Board wraps up successful UK Roadshow showcasing destination’s expanding appeal

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Nassau & Paradise Island Promotion Board (NPIPB) has wrapped up a highly successful three-city roadshow across the United Kingdom, engaging nearly 90 leading travel trade professionals and strengthening partnerships with tour operators, travel advisors, and media outlets.

Led by Chief Executive Officer Joy Jibrilu, the delegation featured representatives from the NPIPB, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, and seven major hotel partners—Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Atlantis Paradise Island, The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant, Margaritaville Beach Resort, British Colonial Nassau, and Comfort Suites Paradise Island. The team showcased the wide-ranging appeal of Nassau and Paradise Island’s offerings for 2025 and 2026, emphasizing new developments and the destination’s growing international visibility.

The roadshow arrived at a time of rising demand from the UK market, with website traffic from London doubling year over year. Stops in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh each featured signature Bahamian touches—from Bahama Mama cocktails made with John Watling’s rum to exclusive giveaways including complimentary hotel stays, Graycliff wines, Bahamian moonshine, and island-inspired prizes.

The series kicked off in London at Carousel London with a Bahamian-themed three-course dinner and Graycliff wine pairings, attended by His Excellency Peter Andy Gomez, Bahamas High Commissioner to the UK. The event spotlighted the ease of travel via British Airways’ daily non-stop flights between London and Nassau.

In Manchester, the delegation hosted an engaging evening at Food Sorcery, where guests participated in a Bahama Mama cocktail-making competition and a hands-on Bahamian-inspired cooking class. The event captured the vibrant flavors and warmth that define the Bahamian experience.

The tour concluded in Edinburgh aboard the Fingal Hotel, a luxury floating venue moored in Leith. Guests enjoyed an intimate dinner with Graycliff wine pairings and direct engagement with NPIPB and hotel partners. The evening highlighted how JetBlue’s connections are expanding access to Nassau for Scottish travelers.

“The feedback from travel partners across the UK has been overwhelmingly positive, with many telling us these were some of the most engaging destination activities they’ve experienced,” said Jibrilu. “Hands-on and interactive sessions in each city allowed us to share, not just tell, what makes Nassau & Paradise Island so special. Interest in The Bahamas has grown significantly through our marketing efforts, and now is the time to act, ensuring more UK travellers discover the sun, sand, sea—and so much more—of Nassau & Paradise Island.”
