Another early morning shooting incident has pushed the country’s murder count up a notch to 27 for the year.
The fatal shooting incident in the Carmichael Road area has left one man dead.
According to police reports, shortly before 3:00 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of gunshots being heard in the area of Dignity Gardens off Carmichael Road.
Police said upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male in a vehicle with apparent gunshot injuries.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but were unable to revive the victim.
Authorities said it is unclear as to what led to this latest homicide, however authorities have appealed to the public to come forward with any information which may assist with the investigation.
