NASSAU, BAHAMAS- It was story time with a purpose as Nassau Village MP Jamahl Strachan spent the morning at Little Feet Academy, reading to eager students and sharing words of encouragement about the power of education.
His visit formed part of ongoing efforts to invest in the youth of the Nassau Village constituency – reminding the next generation that learning can be both fun and transformative.
Gathered under a shaded tent on the school’s campus, dozens of students leaned in with bright eyes and curious minds as Strachan animatedly read The Colors of Us – a story celebrating diversity and self-acceptance. Their laughter and questions filled the air, a reflection of the book’s message and the joy of discovery that comes through reading.

Afterward, Strachan expressed his appreciation to the school’s teachers and administrators for their dedication. “Investing in our children is so important. They are the future of our community and our country,” he said, emphasizing the importance of nurturing early literacy.
The morning ended with smiles, handshakes, and a shared sense of purpose – a small but meaningful moment in the larger story of community building and education within Nassau Village.
