NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A man is dead and another in critical condition in hospital today after a traffic fatality on West Bay Street in the area of The Cricket Club.
According to traffic division officials, around 4 am Sunday morning a cluster of motorcyclists were traveling east along West Bay Street when one cyclist collided with a male on a moped traveling west. The male motorcyclist, believed to be in early 30’s, succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Chief Superintendent Eugene Strachan, officer in charge of the traffic division sought to reassure the public that police are working diligently to address the trend of groups of motorcyclists traversing the streets without licenses, helmets or insurance.
