NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police officials have announced that they have seized an unlicensed firearm and arrested a 35-year-old man.
The seizure took place on Friday, July 19, 2024, utilizing officers from Operation Ceasefire, including the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.
According to preliminary reports, shortly before 2:00 p.m., officers acting on information intercepted a white Nissan Versa vehicle on East Street, south of Robinson Road, where officers searched the car, found a firearm containing ammunition, and took the lone male occupant into custody.
Investigations continue.
