NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Bahamasair yesterday announced delays in the payment of salaries for all employees at several banking institutions.
In a memo to all staff, the airline said outstanding payments are expected to be completed by Tuesday, October 13.
“Please be aware that monies were received late yesterday afternoon and as a result, this affected the transfer from Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) to inter-connecting banks before the end of business day,” it read.
“It is my understanding that account holders at RBC would have received their funds.
“We expect that outstanding salaries will be reflected on those respective accounts as of Tuesday, October 13.”
It added: “Please accept our sincerest apology for the inconvenience caused.”
