HURRICANE MILTON UPDATE: DRMA issues ‘all clear’ for The Bahamas

play-sharp-fill

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Officials from the Disaster Risk Management Authority (DRMA) have deactivated a tropical storm watch warning that was issued this week for Northern Bahamas in the wake of the passage of Hurricane Milton, noting that the islands are now “all-clear.”

DRM’s Managing Director, Aarone Sargeant noted that “there are no reports of injury or significant damage” on the northern islands, namely Grand Bahama, Bimini and Abaco.

Sargeant added that the national emergency disaster operation center in New Providence along with command centers throughout the family islands have all been deactivated as a result of Hurricane Milton no longer posing a threat to the country.
