Grand Bahama: Police search leads to drug arrests

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police in Grand Bahama seized suspected drugs valued at over $3,000 on Sunday, December 29, 2024, resulting in the arrests of three individuals.
Initial reports indicate that officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Santa Maria Avenue shortly after midnight. During the search, a quantity of suspected hydroponic marijuana was discovered inside the home.
Consequently, three occupants—two males, aged 29 and 26, and a 20-year-old female—were taken into custody.
The seized drugs reportedly weigh approximately 1 lb. 1.1 oz. and have an estimated street value of $3,320.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
