Government is still locked in negotiations with petroleum retailers

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — While petroleum dealers assert that “now is the right time for government to increase fuel profit margins,” Economic Affairs Minister Michael Halkitis thinks otherwise.

Halkitis maintains that government is not minded to make a decision that could increase prices at the pumps.

However, with U.S. oil prices dropping in recent days, Halkitis foresees that it could help to address gas station operators’ concerns.
