GB resident charged with 12 counts of housebreaking, stealing

FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA – Sidney Shermal Hart Jr, 28, on Wednesday appeared in a Freeport magistrates court, charged with 12 counts of housebreaking and stealing from a dwelling house.

Hart pleaded not guilty on all counts and he was remanded to The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial on April 17 and again on May 13 and 14.

Last Friday, Hart was arrested by officers of the Eastern Police Station in Lucaya in connection with a number of housebreakings in the Lucaya and South Bahamia area, between December 2018 and February 2019.

Officers of the Mobile Division in Grand Bahama also made significant arrests on Monday. They arrested persons who were all wanted by various divisions on criminal complaints and outstanding traffic warrants.
