Former insurance agent charged with fraud

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A former insurance agent was arraigned in the magistrate’s court on Thursday, facing charges of fraud.

Bradley Ferguson, 67, also known as ‘Job’, appeared before magistrate Samuel McKinney and was charged with 24 counts of fraud, namely six counts of falsifying medical insurance to policyholders while working as an agent at Atlantic Medical Insurance Company; six counts of stealing by reason of employment; six counts of possession of forged documents and six counts of uttering false documents.

Ferguson pleaded not guilty to 23 of those charges and guilty to one charge of falsifying a document.

The total amount that Ferguson allegedly stole was $3,223 dollars.

Ferguson was also remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections until his trail, which is set for March 25, 2019.
