Foreign Affairs Minister slams “assault” on RBPF over Taylor Casey investigation

NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Foreign Affairs minister Fred Mitchell has taken major exception to what he termed an “assault” made against the Royal Bahamas Police Force by relatives of Taylor Casey, an American individual who has been missing in The Bahamas since June.

During a press conference in Chicago last week, Casey’s family and friends accused Bahamian authorities of not making enough of an effort to locate her, suggesting that this is because of her identity as a black transgender woman.

Mitchell slammed US media regarding the local investigation into missing Chicago transgender woman Taylor Casey, noting that they have published misstatements.

Mitchell insisted that the RBPF has been cooperative with the family and has not dropped the ball in the ongoing investigations since Casey went missing on Paradise Island some three weeks ago.
