Law enforcement officials Tuesday warned the general public of an apparent scam happening on Facebook, in which parliamentarians seem to be the victims.
According to National Security Minister Marvin Dames, authorities have come across a number of fake accounts purporting to be that of the parliamentarians.
Dames said that in the past week alone, he discovered at least 19 fake accounts on social media using his name and photo.
He noted that it’s a serious issue authorities are working feverishly to address.
