NASSAU, BAHAMAS — TCL Group is pleased to announce that the 15th Exuma Business Outlook will feature a keynote address by Chester Cooper, deputy prime minister of The Bahamas and minister of tourism, investments and aviation.

The free full-day virtual conference, scheduled for October 28, will convene at 9.30am under the theme “Facing Unprecedented Times: Recover. Adapt. Advance.”

Joan Albury, president of TCL group, the multimedia company behind the eight-island Bahamas Business Outlook series, said: “For this year’s Exuma Business Outlook, we are honored to have a son of the soil as our keynote speaker.

“We acknowledge the strong connection that our deputy prime minister has to the island of Exuma as a national leader who was born and raised in Forbes Hill, Little Exuma, and served as member of Parliament for the Exumas and Ragged Island since 2017.

“So, we are looking forward to what he will share about the government’s plans for future island developments.”

Albury added: “We have had a very successful run with our 2021 Bahamas Business Outlook series to date, specifically with our ability to gather experts and innovators from key industries within various major islands.

“We anticipate that our upcoming Exuma Business Outlook will only build on that success.”

The Exuma Business Outlook will bring together national, social and economic leaders to address current challenges and opportunities relevant to Exuma and its surrounding cays.

Presentations will cover various topics, including the status of airport development; Sand Dollar implementation; sustained investment in electricity, water and broadband infrastructure; enhancement of healthcare and patient safety during COVID-19; hotel and airline updates; and financing and investment options.

“Exuma is internationally known for its beautiful water and cays, but there is much potential to be discovered and developed on the main island as well,” said Albury.

“With Exuma Business Outlook, we hope to highlight the available opportunities that lie untapped on the island and as a result, we have brought together a group of speakers who will be able to address the potential emerging within Exuma’s industries and the bright future that is ahead.”

Conference moderators include Pedro Rolle, president, Exuma Chamber of Commerce; Kerry Fountain, executive director, Bahama Out Islands Promotion Board; and Felicia Saunders, island manager, ALIV.
