NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police are searching for four men responsible for a double shooting yesterday which left two men hospitalised in critical condition.
According to reports, sometime around 2.30 pm Tuesday police were alerted to gunshots being discharged in the Key West Street area via its ShotSpotter technology. The victims were reportedly sitting in a yard on Key West Street north, when two (2) men—one armed with a high-powered rifle and the other with a handgun—exited a dark-colored vehicle and discharged gunshots in the direction of the men. Both men were shot multiple times and taken to hospital via EMS personnel where they remain in critical condition.
Police say that they are following significant leaders into this latest shooting incident.
This latest shooting comes on the heels of a Sunday shooting incident which left four men injured. That incident occurred outside a residence in Tropical Gardens shortly before 11pm on Sunday. Two masked men armed with handguns reportedly exited a small blue vehicle and discharged gunshots in the direction of the victims, which resulted in the men being shot.
