Patrons of local gaming houses expressed outrage and disbelief Monday as they gave their views on the newly proposed stamp tax, which will be implemented beginning July 1.

The five per cent tax will be levied on all monies deposited to gaming houses as part of the government’s new taxation policy.

Eyewitness News spent much of yesterday getting feedback from various locals who said they are disappointed that the government would choose to impose more taxes on middle and lower income earning citizens than the rich.
