BTC powers Mount Moriah community’s crime prevention initiative

BTC CEO André Foster commented on the donation, saying: “We were happy to support to the Mount Moriah community. We are very impressed by the determination of this community to be their ‘brother’s keeper’ as they installed solar-powered CCTV cameras to support crime prevention.

“We truly value our partnerships with our communities, and this is just one of many ways that we are giving back.”

On hand for the donation was Mount Moriah MP Marvin Dames, who also serves as minister of national security.

Dames thanked BTC, saying: “We’re grateful that BTC decided to come on board. The company has always been a tremendous corporate partner, and we are extremely elated. This donation will go a long way to helping to keep these communities safe.”

NNWC Chairman Keno Wong said: “I think this is a great initiative and one of the main goals of our organization, which comprises of over 167 neighborhood watch groups throughout the country, is to partner with corporate Bahamas as we seek to combat crime in our communities.

“We are happy that BTC has come on board to support the Mount Moriah community, which includes Yellow Elder Gardens, Millennium Gardens and Stapeldon Gardens.”

BTC said it hopes to expand this initiative and looks forward to partnering with other neighborhood crime watch associations in the near future.
