Briland Club Hotel, Residences & Marina unveils next phase of development and partnership with The Royal Portfolio

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Briland Club Hotel, Residences, and Marina, the premier luxury community on Harbour Island, has announced a partnership with The Royal Portfolio, a renowned hospitality group known for its luxury hotels, villas, safari lodges, and residences. The partnership will manage the 27-acre development, which includes 60 residential properties available for purchase, such as cottages, villas, and estate homes.

The Royal Portfolio is a family-owned hospitality group led by Phil and Liz Biden. With prices starting at $4 million, Briland Club’s exclusive sales and marketing will be handled by Nassau-based The Isles Group, in collaboration with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.

“The Royal Portfolio will help bring our vision for a luxury community on Harbour Island to life,” said Michael Wiener, Chairman of Briland Club Hotel, Residences and Marina. “Their commitment to world-class hospitality aligns with our focus on creating extraordinary residential and lifestyle experiences, centered on service, sustainability, and respect for local culture. The Royal Portfolio will oversee all operations at Briland Club, ensuring award-winning standards in concierge services, curated experiences, and beach club amenities.”

The partnership with The Royal Portfolio is part of Briland Club Residences’ plan to integrate the local community into a family-oriented, recreational environment while preserving the island’s natural beauty and heritage.

“We are excited to partner with Briland Club to bring The Royal Portfolio’s purpose-driven luxury experiences to The Bahamas,” said Phil Biden, founder of The Royal Portfolio. “For 25 years, our purpose and values have guided our work, and expanding internationally has always been part of our vision.”

Briland Club is the only bay-to-beach property on Harbour Island, offering residents and visitors breathtaking ocean and harbor views. The 60 residences include a mix of Coral Cottages, Club Cottages, Villas, and Estate Homes, alongside the island’s only megayacht marina, which can accommodate vessels from 75’ to 300’.

The Coral Cottages, which have been developed and featured in the Robb Report, are two-bedroom, 2.5-bath residences with interiors designed by Bunny Williams. Each cottage offers a 700-square-foot veranda, creating seamless indoor-outdoor living within approximately 2,100 square feet. The Club Cottages, currently under development, are available in two configurations: a two-bedroom layout of around 3,300 square feet and a three-bedroom option measuring about 3,700 square feet.

“We are proud to collaborate with Briland Club, The Royal Portfolio, and The Isles Group on this exciting next phase,” said Jay Philip Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman’s Florida Brokerage. “Briland Club has already become a sought-after destination for many, and we are excited to introduce this exceptional lifestyle to our distinguished global clientele.”

The next phase of development will include private residences, a boutique hotel, a gym and spa, additional club amenities, dining experiences, a resort clubhouse, pools, and more. The design, inspired by the island’s historical allure, blends elegance with authenticity, reflecting the colonial charm and rich history of Harbour Island. The club aims to set a new standard for exclusive living, combining modern luxury with a deep respect for the island’s Loyalist heritage.

The community will prioritize sustainability, featuring clean power systems, advanced purified water systems, and environmentally conscious designs that support local marine life, including coral reefs, seagrass, and wildlife such as lobster, snapper, dolphins, turtles, and manatees. The development’s power systems generate more energy than the community needs, while the docks provide 480-watt connections for mega yachts. Purified water systems exceed the community’s drinking water requirements, and strategic elevation ensures long-term resilience. The state-of-the-art megayacht marina features Ipe wood floating docks, in-slip fueling, pump-out stations, and fire suppression systems.

The Royal Portfolio will manage all hospitality operations at Briland Club, bringing its award-winning service to every aspect of the community, from concierge services to curated experiences and beach club amenities. This partnership is designed to attract sophisticated buyers and global travelers alike.

Briland Club is located at the southern end of Harbour Island.
