NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Breeze Airways will expand its Caribbean footprint this summer with the launch of new nonstop service between Tampa, Florida, and Nassau, providing direct air access to The Bahamas from an underserved U.S. market and supporting continued growth in visitor arrivals.
The Nassau & Paradise Island Promotion Board announced that the premium leisure carrier will begin twice-weekly nonstop flights to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) on June 11, 2026. The service will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, with one-way fares starting from $99 USD under Breeze’s No Flex Fare promotion when booking a new reservation from Tampa to Nassau.
Tourism officials say the new route creates a convenient and affordable option for travelers seeking summer access to Nassau & Paradise Island, while strengthening airlift from Florida—one of the destination’s key source markets.
Breeze Airways focuses on connecting underserved cities with affordable, direct service and operates a brand-new fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The airline offers premium features including free family seating, fast onboard WiFi, preferred seat options, and no change or cancel fees.
“I commend Breeze for its arrival as a new airline entrant and for launching a milestone service that introduces much-needed direct air access between these two destinations,” said Joy Jibrilu, CEO of the Nassau & Paradise Island Promotion Board. “With no existing nonstop flights currently operating from Tampa to Nassau, this new route represents a major opportunity to grow visitor arrivals and strengthen connectivity.”
With an average of 300 sunny days annually, warm water temperatures around 80 degrees, and miles of white sand beaches, Nassau & Paradise Island continues to position itself as an attractive short-haul getaway for Florida travelers seeking resorts, casinos, dining, and leisure experiences.
Lynden Pindling International Airport, located approximately 10 miles from downtown Nassau, is the first and only international airport offering TSA PreCheck. It is also one of just 15 destinations worldwide providing U.S. Preclearance, allowing travelers to clear Customs and Immigration prior to departure and arrive in the United States as domestic passengers.
The addition of the Tampa–Nassau route further reinforces The Bahamas’ broader airlift strategy, as tourism stakeholders continue to focus on expanding direct access, improving convenience, and sustaining record visitor growth.
