Police on the island of Bimini are investigating the apparent drowning of a 54-year-old American male.
According to intelligence shortly after 11:00 a.m. Sunday, the male, along with family members, were reportedly swimming on Luna Beach – situated on the northern side of North Bimini – when he reportedly was seen floating in the water.
The victim was taken to the Bimini Community Clinic by emergency personnel where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations are ongoing.
