NASSAU, BAHAMAS — For a second consecutive year, two of Verizon Media Group and Paramount Systems’ talk show programs have been recognized as industry leaders, retaining top spots at the 2020 Elevation Awards
“Beyond the Headlines” with host Clint Watson won TV Talk Show of the Year and “Freedom March” with host Rodney Moncur won Radio Talk Show of the Year.
“It speaks to the strength of our team to continuously deliver a superior product and to meet the needs of our viewership,” said Watson, upon hearing the news of his win.
“…I’m excited about what we are doing with ‘Beyond the Headlines’ and where we are going to go. We will do great things next year.
“We are proud that we are the only nightly news analysis show in the country, which speaks to our commitment to always being there with the stories of the day and standing with our news product as a news analysis show.”
Watson said the show has been expanded this year to incorporate more graphics, more visuals and more connection with the audience, offering thanks and gratitude to his producers and technical team.
The TV show host also thanked his viewers who have been “remarkable, loyal and committed” for their continued support, along with the show’s title sponsor Aliv and senior contributors.
