NASSAU, BAHAMAS- A 24-year-old Bahamian entrepreneur has entered the fintech space with the launch of a new all-in-one budgeting app designed to simplify how users manage their money.
Kieran Shearer officially launched Island Budget on March 30, 2026, making the app available on both Google Play and the App Store.
Built to address the common frustration of juggling multiple financial tools, Island Budget combines transaction tracking, category budgeting, savings goals, bill reminders, recurring payments, split expenses, and exportable reports into a single platform.
Shearer said the app is designed around everyday routines, offering a simple and connected user experience whether managing household expenses, organizing monthly bills, or planning trips.
The cloud-synced platform works across Android and iPhone devices, allowing users to access their data seamlessly without the risk of loss from local storage.
Unlike many modern finance apps, Island Budget takes a manual-first approach, encouraging users to log their spending themselves to build better financial awareness and habits. A built-in streak system further promotes consistency by rewarding daily use.
The app is free, with optional paid features including receipt scanning and storage.
Shearer said the launch marks a significant personal milestone, adding that his focus now is on refining the product based on user behavior and scaling it responsibly.
