Bahamas loses its first game in Puerto Rico

The Freedom Farm Under-12 boys team suffered its first loss in Puerto Rico yesterday as the Caribbean Little League World Series continued.

Despite going up 3-0 after the first inning of play, The Bahamas wasn’t able to hang on down the stretch. Puerto Rico tied the score at four at the end of the fourth inning and piled on three more runs in the fifth to take control.

Puerto Rico remains the only unbeaten team left in the tournament. It takes on Aruba, while The Bahamas takes on Curacao. The top teams from the round robin will move on to play in the championship game.

The winner of the tournament then moves on to represent the region next month in the Little League World Series, which will be held from August 16-26 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Eight teams from the United States (U.S.) and eight teams from around the world will compete in the 72nd edition of the tournament.
