Speaking at the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board’s Destination Update during the International Travel Partner’s Conference at Atlantis Resort, Jibrilu highlighted that LPIA received an average daily of 5,864 passengers from January to May, up six percent from 2023.
Jibrilu noted that 2024 is off to a great start. “So far this year, six million people have visited Nassau Paradise Island.com, marking a 21.4 percent increase over last year, while links to member property websites have grown by 12.2 percent.”
“We are still seeing our top visiting markets as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Atlanta,” Jibrilu added.
She also pointed out a 22 percent increase year-to-date in total non-Caribbean seats to Nassau compared to 2023. “Our average weekly trans-Atlantic seats from Europe stand at an impressive 2,286. Passenger traffic at LPIA reflects a six percent increase for the first five months of 2024,” Jibrilu noted.
Currently, there are 43 non-stop daily flights to Nassau, with 20 out of 27 non-stop markets experiencing growth over 2023.
According to Jibrilu, the US and Canada account for 94 percent of all arrivals, while the UK and Brazil have seen modest decreases compared to last year.
