Atlantis sees strong March and poised for sold-out Easter

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A top Atlantis executive says the resort is currently experiencing occupancy in excess of 85 percent, with a strong March and is poised to be completely booked for Easter.

Vaughn Roberts, Executive VP of Administration and Strategic Initiatives, told Eyewitness News, “Today we’re probably in excess of 85 percent occupancy. This is obviously peak season for us so March is very strong. April, with Easter being in April, is also very strong. We’ll probably be sold out the week of Easter, and then you get to May and June, which is when we move into our summer months. That is also a strong period for us, with families on vacation. Mid-June to mid-August, that’s kind of what it normally is.”

Roberts continued, “The first quarter is pretty strong. We’re a little bit behind our budget and a little bit behind last year, too. So we are seeing a little bit of softness in overall occupancy, but for the most part, we’re really focused on just driving and delivering service while the guests are here.”

This week, the Atlantis resort is hosting the third annual Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival. The event showcases world-renowned chefs, master sommeliers, mixologists, and celebrated TV personalities. Guests can enjoy walk-around tasting events, lively culinary demonstrations and classes, as well as intimate chef-led happy hours, lunches, and dinners.
